One of the most important steps in ear piercing is aftercare. Whether this is your first, third, or fourth piercing, it's important to follow the ear-piercing care instructions carefully to avoid infection and to ensure that your piercing heals properly.
After inked offers ear piercing cleaning solutions specially formulated to clean and soothe newly pierced ears without drying or cracking from old alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. You can also buy piercing aftercare spray via the web.

This is how you take care of your new piercing
Always wash your hands with soap and water before touching your piercing or earrings. During treatment, we recommend cleaning the front and back of the ear and freshly pierced ear earrings three times a day with CLEAN HANDS and a fresh cotton swab soaked in ear care solution.
You must always keep your piercing clean. So if you are swimming or exercising, rinse your ears carefully and reapply the ear care solution after the activity.
How long will it take for my piercing to heal?
With an earlobe piercing, you can wait about 6 weeks for it to heal before you can replace your piercing with a new one. Do not go out without earrings for more than 24 hours for the next 6 months, otherwise, your piercing may close.
For cartilage piercings, the average healing time is 12 weeks. Over the next 6 months after your treatment time ends, you must wear the earrings 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or your piercing will be closed.
